I’ve never been able to spend much time on photography; I started out in broadcast journalism and gradually transitioned into videography. However, I’ve been able to pick up a few things here and there, and I also can’t turn down a friend in need! John and Erica didn’t have anyone to take their prom pictures and I was up for the challenge. Using my trusty Canon 70D, I was able to snap some pretty cool shots.
The lovely couple chose Hampton Park, a great place for photos due to its variety of different settings. They have a gazebo, fountain, pond, bridge, benches, and countless trees to provide infinite possibilities for beautiful snapshots.
Erica’s mother MADE the corsage and boutonnière herself! How cool is THAT.
The afternoon lighting was tricky, but it created a few fun shots as well.
I loved being able to find a variety of backdrops! I highly recommend this park for bridal portraits and engagement shoots; you can even use the gazebo for wedding ceremonies.
